Dr. Karishma Mukherji holds a Bachelor’s in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) degree from Mumbai, India. Karishma specializes in Homeopathy and has over 10 years of experience in the successful treatment of various acute and chronic conditions. In addition to private practice in Mumbai, she has also worked in reputed hospitals in India as an ICU Registrar and Resident Doctor. Karishma also holds a Masters in Counseling from DePaul University and practices as a licensed professional counselor in the state of Illinois. She is working in the mental health field in psychosocial rehabilitation and family services, with her expertise being trauma therapy. Karishma is known for her therapy skills pertaining to depression, anxiety, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder and life transitions. In the past, she has contributed to the social and emotional well-being of her clients by leading therapy groups on women empowerment, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness.
In addition, Karishma has over 16 years of experience in privately tutoring and mentoring students with health science and biology majors. Her experience contributes immensely to her professional success as faculty at EWU. She has also designed and developed an art-based educational program for children, which focuses on learning through visual stimulation, tactile development, and motor coordination.
Dr. Karishma is a member of the American Counseling Association & National Center for Homeopathy.
