Requirements

At East-West University, we simplify our application process so that you can start the first steps to your new career as quickly as possible.

1. Speak With An Admissions Counselor

First, you’ll meet with a knowledgeable admissions counselor to discuss your goals, our programs, and financial aid options.

2. Take Your Placement Tests

Next, you’ll need to take your placement tests in English or math, free of charge. If you have transfer credits, they will be assessed on an individual basis to determine if they can replace the placement tests.

3. Provide Necessary Documents

The documents that are needed for admission are:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Official high school transcript
  • Official transcripts from all accredited colleges attended
  • ACT or SAT results
  • TOEFL results for International students
  • Application with non-refundable application fee

4. Interview

The final step is an interview with the director of admissions or designee.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to attend East-West University if you need it. There are four different choices depending on your needs and if you meet the requirements.

Scholarships

Scholarships are generally awarded based on the need of the applicant or their merits. Typically, most scholarships require a 2.0 or better GPA and full-time enrollment. You can find scholarships from private donors, academic departments, or the school.

Grants

Grants are federal, state, or institutional funds that are awarded based on need. These funds are limited and are given on a first-come, first-serve basis. They do not need to be repaid as loans do.

Work-Study

Work-study is also a need-based type of financial aid. This aid is federal and allows students to apply for a job on campus in order to earn the funds awarded.

Loans

Loans are awarded based on need, grade level, and academic career. Most student loans are federal, though you can apply for private loans, as well. You will need to be enrolled at least half-time and can’t exceed federal aggregate limits to be eligible.
