EAST-WEST CREATES NEW CONSOLIDATED STUDENT SERVICES STRUCTURE
Chancellor names Mr. Lambert, Ms. Ross to new leadership assignments
CHICAGO--East-West University announces that effective Mon., Oct. 9, 2012, many student services will be consolidated in the Office of Enrollment Management under the leadership of Mr. Bryan Lambert. Additionally, Ms. Mettha Marsalis Ross will assume the newly-created position of Associate Dean for Institutional Advancement to improve outreach within the Office of Development and University Relations.
Director of Enrollment Management Bryan Lambert will oversee the offices of Admissions, Enrollment Development, and Counseling and Student Affairs merged into the Division of Enrollment Management. Mr. Lambert joined East-West University in February 2012 after eight years at Harrington College of Design, the last three years as Senior Director of Admissions.
“I’m extremely excited to oversee the consolidation of many student recruitment and retention services in one department,” Mr. Lambert said. “It’s a move the University had been contemplating for some time, and I’m honored to get the opportunity under the Division of Enrollment Management.”
At the same time, Ms. Mettha Marsalis Ross was named Associate Dean for Institutional Advancement. Ms. Marsalis-Ross joined East-West University on June 15, 1981, and has served as Director of Counseling and Student Affairs, and Director of Admissions for many years. She will be applying her management experience to advance the University’s missionthrough alumni relations, institutional relations, and promoting the University image and vision to internal and external stakeholders.
“As an employee for all but nine months of the University’s history,” said Ms. Ross, “I feel uniquely equipped to promote our mission to constituencies that may not be familiar with the important role we provide in higher education and the community. And I’m especially looking forward to involving our alumni as partners in promoting their alma mater.”
The new configuration of leadership roles in new departments will require some relocation of offices. Effective Mon., Oct. 16, Ms. Ross will be in Room W801 at phone extension 1801; Mr. Lambert will be located in Room W834 at extension 1834; Director of Financial Aid Ms. Arica Ostreicher will be at extension 1806 in Room W806; and Financial Aid Default Manager Ms. Michelle Hudson will be at extension 1812.
