
Mettha Marsalis Ross
recently appointed as Associate Dean of Admissions, has been with East-West University since June, 1981 in various administrative capacities. She holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University in Normal, Il. Mrs. Ross is passionate about empowering students to pursue their education with excellence. She enjoys motivational speaking and encouraging others to maximize their potential.
Anna Lobanova
is a dedicated education counseling professional that has been helping students achieve their dream of a college education since joining East-West University in 1995. The native of the Russian Federation from the Leningrad region earned her MA in Community Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. Ms. Lobanova specializes in career counseling, transfer students and transcript evaluation. A resident of Chicago’s western suburbs, she is fluent in Russian and enjoys yoga, figure skating, gardening and writing.
Rashed Jahangir
International Student Advisor Rashed Jahangir earned a B.Sc. from the University of Karachi in his native Pakistan before coming to the United States to continue his education at East-West University, earning a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology. Passionate about helping other students enjoy the same joys and opportunities of higher education, Mr. Jahangir joined his alma mater as International Student Advisor in 2008 after working several years in a similar position at Taylor Business Institute. A fluent speaker of Urdu and Hindi, the Schaumburg resident enjoys watching and playing international cricket.
Tina Wise, Admissions Counselor
Tina Wise grew up on Chicago’s South Side, where she graduated from Phillips High School before heading off to Tennessee State University for college. Ms. Wise joined East-West University as an admissions counselor in 1996. The lifelong resident of the South Side has developed and maintained strong ties to the community where she grew up, and uses her knowledge and experience to counsel students who likewise want to make a positive difference in their community.
Asma Adnan, Admissions Counselor
Asma Adnan knows from personal experience the advantages of an East-West University education, having graduated with a BS in Computer and Information Science in 2002. The native of Pakistan gained experience as a work study student in admissions department. In 2003, she brought her passion for helping students back to East-West as a full time admissions counselor. A resident of Skokie, Ms. Adnan specializes in counseling high school students, transfer students, and students interested in medical careers. Fluent in both Urdu and Hindi, she enjoys reading, Bollywood music, and international travel.
